In a promising step toward international cooperation, Somalia and Azerbaijan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening bilateral ties in the agricultural sector.

The agreement was officially signed by Somalia’s Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, H.E. Mohamed Abdi Hayir “Mareye,” and Azerbaijan’s Minister of Agriculture, H.E. Majnun Mammadov. Both parties expressed optimism about the future of agricultural collaboration between the two countries.

One of the most forward-thinking discussions between the two ministers involved the potential use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in farming.
