Two businessmen were assassinated in Dosmarib

 Gunmen killed two businessmen, Siad Tahlil Mohamed and Sheikh Hassan Dershi, in Dosmarib, the administrative capital of Galmudug state, on Tuesday evening.

The governor of Galgadud province, Ilmi Ali Ghani, said that the motive behind the killing and its perpetrators are still unknown, noting that security forces are currently investigating the incident.

The killing of the two businessmen came following the outbreak of violent fighting between clans in an area 45 km from Dosmarib, which resulted in the deaths of at least 7 people.

Somali Defense Minister Abdelkader Mohamed Nour recently accused Al-Shabaab of inciting clan conflicts in different regions of the country.
