Reports from the Mudug region of Galmudug state in the center of the country stated that Somali forces expelled Al-Shabaab fighters from an area in the region.
The reports added that Somali forces, with the support of tribal militias and Galmudug state forces, took control of the “Bragh Muhammad Dawud” area, located 16 kilometers from the “Dabaglo” area in Mudug Governorate, on Tuesday.
According to Somali army officials, allied forces are currently working to chase fighters fleeing the liberated areas.
