Soldiers of the 60th Division of the Somali Army announced that they had regained control of several areas in Bakool District, southwestern Somalia.
The commander of the 9th Brigade of the 60th Division, Brigadier General Younis Adam, indicated that the forces were able to liberate the areas of Warwin, Warto, Ail Lahli, and Murigabi in the region.
It is worth noting that the Al-Shabaab movement linked to Al-Qaeda is active in various regions of Southwestern Somalia, which consists of the Bay, Bakool and Lower Shabelle regions.
