The Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs of Somalia has ordered the notaries in Mogadishu not to transfer the information of the citizens to the Al-Shabaab and Daesh groups. The Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs of Somalia said that citizens have submitted a complaint that they have shared their information with Al-Shabaab from some notaries in Mogadishu.
The ministry said that it has forwarded the complaints submitted by Somali citizens to the security agencies to investigate the incidents, and noted that the license of notaries obtained in this matter will be revoked. "The Ministry informs all authorities with public notaries that sharing the information of their clients with Al-Shabaab is a major criminal act that violates the laws of the country," said the Ministry's news release. "Anyone who is found aiding terrorists deserves the punishment specified in the Somali Penal Code (XCS) and other laws of the country.
" The Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs of Somalia added to its statement. The Ministry has also notified all Somali citizens who have been abused in sharing their information with Al-Shabaab to submit their complaints directly to the Ministry of Justice to be addressed.
