The news we are getting from Qoryoley district in the Lower Shabelle region, says that yesterday a mine explosion occurred on the outskirts of the district killed Sayid Ali Ibrahim who was the governor of Qoryoley.
According to the news, the governor and some of his bodyguards were attacked by a land mine explosion in the outskirts of Qoryooley district, and some of his bodyguards were also killed in the explosion.
The Somali government troops arrived at the place where the explosion took place, and the troops took away the people who were injured in the explosion as well as the body of the governor and the people who died.
On the other hand, the President of the South West Government, Mr. Abdicasis Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen, has sent his deepest condolences to the family, relatives, and the entire Somali nation that he left. President Laftagareen pointed out that Al-Shabaab terrorists are always targeting people who serve the Somali community and nation. He noted that the deceased has served the Somali nation for a long time, and he will be remembered for his role in the peace of the Qoryooley community and his commitment to serving the Somali people.
