Somali Forces Strengthen Their Fight Against Terrorism
The fight against terrorism in Somalia is gaining new momentum with the reactivation of Ahlu Sunna forces in the central regions. These forces, known for their past successes against Al-Shabaab, are now rejoining the battle to ensure a more secure and stable Somalia.
Sheikh Shakir recently confirmed that he and the top Somali military commander, General Odowaa Yusuf Rageh, have discussed this development. He welcomed the plan and emphasized that Somali politicians are also in support of this strategy. The government acknowledges the importance of utilizing Ahlu Sunna’s battlefield expertise in ongoing operations.
