Puntland military court tries five men accused of aiding al-Shabab in Bosaso.
Five men allegedly working with the al-Shabab militant group appeared before a Puntland military court in Bosaso town on Monday.
The men are accused of using their vehicles to transport al-Shabab members from the mountainous area to carry out murderous operations in Bosaso.
The court prosecutor stated that the men were arrested following an investigation into two murder cases in Bosaso. Security police apprehended the five men along with their vehicle during the operation.
Some of the defendants claimed they were forced by al-Shabab threats to carry out these activities, while others argued they were unknowingly working for al-Shabab.
The military court is set to issue judgments for four of the five men today, while one of the accused has been acquitted of any crime.
