Four bodies were discovered on Sunday at a farm said to be owned by the Kenyan military, sparking outrage among locals.
Residents reported that the four youths had trespassed on the farm near the Kenya Defense Forces barracks in Uasin Gishu District to collect the remaining maize from the recent harvest when they were allegedly arrested and beaten to death by the farm guards.
Four other men who stormed the farm were also being treated for injuries including gunshot wounds and bruises at a local hospital.
Local residents expressed their anger, saying the guards should have arrested the youths instead of using lethal force against them.
