Ethiopian security forces arrest individuals suspected of links to Boko Haram and Al-Shabab

 
Ethiopian security forces have arrested a number of individuals suspected of having links to the Boko Haram and Al-Shabab terrorist groups.

The Sidama Zone Peace and Security Office said in a press release that the suspects were caught red-handed while planning to carry out terrorist attacks in different parts of Ethiopia in coordination with transnational terrorist groups and armed rebel groups.

The statement revealed that those suspected of involvement in terrorism were arrested in a joint operation carried out by the Sidama Region Security Task Force, the Ethiopian National Defense Force and the Ethiopian National Intelligence and Security Service.
