Mogadishu - The Somali federal government revealed details about an operation that took place near the “Dbalgo” area in the Mudug region in the center of the country, which led to the seizure of a vehicle transporting supplies to the Al-Shabaab movement.
A press release from the Somali Ministry of Information stated that the car was seized 5 kilometers from the Dabagalo area, in cooperation between the people and the valiant national forces.
This operation comes after the federal government announced the killing of 20 Al-Shabaab members in a planned operation in the Shabello area, south of Mudug Province.
For months, the Mudug and Galgadud regions in central Somalia have been witnessing military operations against Al-Shabaab fighters, who lost control of many areas in the two regions after confrontations with Somali government forces, local residents, and Somalia's international partners, who are directing air strikes on the fighters' positions.
