A fierce battle between the Al-Shabaab group and the Liyu Police force of the Somali Regional Government of Ethiopia took place in Yeed, Aato and Washaqo areas, all located in the Bakool Region, on the border between Somalia and Ethiopia.
Al-Shabaab also entered areas under Godgod District of Afdheer Regional Government on Wednesday afternoon, where they were in control for a short time.
It is not yet clear the losses resulting from these wars, since Al-Shabaab has cut off communication in the areas where they were fought so that no official information can be obtained about the border wars.
It is clear that Al-Shabaab attacks and violence in the borders are behind Farmajo and Fahad Yasin who are working together to create political turmoil in the new government.
Also, Al-Shabaab wants to have positions in the mountains of Afdher region of the local government for the first time, after the President of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre announced that they will start a large-scale operation against the Al-Qaeda-linked group.
The Alshabab terrorist group is trying to create chaos on the border of Ethiopia to find a place to hide, after the armed forces have achieved success in their operations since President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud took power.
