The arrival of former Somali Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khairi to Turkey
The former Somali prime minister and presidential candidate Hassan Ali Khairy arrived in Istanbul, Turkey, on Sunday.
Turkey is the third leg of his foreign tour, which included both Djibouti and Kenya, and Khairi has launched his campaign in the presidential elections scheduled for February 2021.
Khairy had met, while in the Kenyan capital Nairobi, former Somali President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed, and discussed with him political developments in Somalia and the issue of federal elections.
It is expected that Khairi, who is accompanied by officials from his campaign during his visit to Turkey, will meet the Somali community and expatriates from many European countries.
