The great role of the Somali woman and Farmajo's insult to her

Somali women are the backbone of life in Somalia and do what men do not do

Somali society is one of traditional societies, and according to the cultural heritage, women do not enjoy all their economic and social rights, let alone political rights.

Women do not get their share of their father’s inheritance in many Somali regions. If this is the case, then how can they obtain their political rights in a patriarchal tribal society. Throughout the generations, women have been excluded, marginalized, and excluded from decision-making circles for a long time.

The Somali woman is the partner of the man in managing the day-to-day life since ancient times. It is still subjected to systematic political exclusion and dwarfing its role, especially since the selection of members of the House of Representatives and the Ministers takes place on the basis of tribal quotas known as the 4.5 system.

The tribe cannot nominate a woman from the tribe for a political position who may be married to a man who comes from a different tribe, so the clan leader must present the man According to the customs followed here, the opportunity for desires to engage in political work diminishes, and it is also difficult for a man from the clan to concede these privileges to a woman who may not fulfill the aspirations and dreams of the tribe.

Despite all this, Somali women have not taken their rights and live in humiliation and indignity
