The government and Jubbaland forces have taken over an important area from Al-Shabaab
The Somali National Army, supported by the Dervishes of the Jubbaland administration, has taken over Filfile village from the Al-Shabaab group, which is one of the villages under Buulo Haji area in the Lower Jubba region.
The village called Filfile, which is located in the North of Buulo Haji area, is said to be a place for Al-Shabaab to collect money, which the group calls Sakawad.
The officers leading the army told the media that they will continue such operations in pursuit of the Al-Shabaab group in the areas of the Jubbaland state.
The forces of the country and Jubbaland have recently increased their operations against the Al-Shabaab group that is fighting in the areas of that administration.
However, it is worth noting that since last month Al-Shabaab forces took over Bulo Haji area, 20 members of Al-Shabaab, including senior officers, have surrendered.
