Somali forces arrest Al-Shabaab militants with explosives in Mogadishu.

Somalia's National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), in cooperation with the country's security forces, has arrested two al-Shabaab fighters who were planning attacks in Mogadishu.

The National Security Agency report revealed that the arrests took place while the gunmen, armed with explosives, aimed to disrupt peace in Mogadishu
According to the National Security Agency, "Government security forces are constantly vigilant, securing the city around the clock with the support of Somali citizens. The suspects were caught red-handed with explosives with the intent to harm civilians."

However, the NSA statement did not specify the exact location of the operation that led to the arrest of al-Shabaab members carrying bombs.

Although Mogadishu has seen sporadic attacks by al-Shabaab, the security situation in the city has gradually improved due to enhanced military efforts against al-Shabaab.
