The Somali government announced the killing of a number of Al-Shabaab leaders in an air strike in the Barag Ali area in Mudug region of Galmudug state in central Somalia.
The raid, which took place near the newly liberated city of Haratiri, targeted a convoy belonging to the movement, which was traveling in a forest area.
The airstrike reportedly killed several fighters and their leaders and burned two cars to ashes, without giving a specific death toll.
