Mogadishu - Last night, aircraft believed to be belonging to the Kenyan Defense Forces carried out air strikes on Al-Shabaab bases in the city of Buale, the center of the Middle Juba region in southern Somalia.
According to received reports, the air strike targeted a site where Al-Qaeda-linked Al-Shabaab fighters were meeting in Buale, the movement’s main stronghold in southern Somalia.
It has not yet been possible to know the losses resulting from the raid among the targeted Al-Shabaab members, and there was no immediate comment from the Somali government or Jubbaland State on the raid.
