The Somali National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) announced that it had arrested a member of the Al-Shabaab movement after carrying out an operation in the capital, Mogadishu.
A statement issued by Somali intelligence stated that the arrested person was planning to attack and harm people living in Mogadishu.
His arrest comes amid ongoing operations by the Somali army and the clan militias allied with it against the Al-Shabaab movement in different regions of the country.
