 RAHEEM STERLING missed England's 3-0 World Cup win over Senegal after thugs broke into his home. The thieves smashed into his home, as revealed by The Sun, forcing the Chelsea winger to fly back to the UK in the middle of the tournament. England cruised to a 3-0 win over Senegal and will play France in the quarter-finals - after Les Blues dismantled Poland. Brazil are expected to welcome Neymar back to World Cup action, after he was injured for their second two group games.

ITV smashed the BBC in their World Cup TV ratings war as a staggering 20.4million people tuned in to watch England's last 16 demolition of Senegal. The peak viewership was spread across ITV TV and their streaming platform. And it was 1.7m viewers higher than the peak audience for England vs Wales, which was broadcasted by the BBC. An average of 18.4m viewers watched the full match as goals by Jordan Henderson, Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka broke England's ITV curse.
