Galmudug regional authorities said they have arrested some elders who recently traveled to Harardheere, which is controlled by Al-Shabaab. Galmudug Security Minister Mohamed Adan Gabobe said that the elders who were arrested took an illegal action outside the government.
Mohamed Adan Gabobe said that the elders knew that there was a war with Al-Shabaab, and they broke the government system in Galmudug. He added that it is a crime to go to Al-Shabaab's residences and enter into an agreement with no one to represent them.
He mentioned that they will be brought to court soon and they will face the punishment for the crime they have committed, and he mentioned that there will be no tolerance for anyone who commits this kind of act.
