Local sources in Galgaduud region, central Somalia, reported that Al-Shabaab militants attacked two villages belonging to the town of "Bahdo" last night and burned houses inhabited by civilians.
The “Bahdo” administration confirmed the burning process, and that the houses that were burned are located in the village of “Bio Dais”, which is 15 km from “Bahdo”, and the village of “Mejaj Dub”, which is 18 km from the town Eyewitnesses said that Al-Shabaab fighters who burned the houses returned to their positions while the residents of those houses were sleeping in the open.
The residents of the areas targeted by the Al-Shabaab movement had recently begun to arm themselves in preparation for the fight against the movement, which destroyed drinking water wells a few days ago and cut off communications from the “Adakabir” area in Galgadud province.
