Al-Shabaab want to control Mogadishu.

Al-shabaab

Yesterday, artillery and mortars fell in Hararyale area of Warta-Nada district of Mogadishu, causing casualties and injuries.  Two of the artillery shells are said to have fallen at the Harareyale intersection, especially the Aljazeera hospital's emergency department, and it is said that one of the two shells hit him.

According to a local person, a woman died in a shell near her house while other people were injured.  The artillery was probably taken to the Presidential Villa Somalia which is located not far from there, while today Villa Hargeisa which is located in the Presidential Palace was holding a meeting of the People's Assembly to give confidence to the new government.

So this attack, which many people believe is behind Al-Shabaab, seems to be a warning message sent to the new government, after it received the confidence of the Parliament.
