The Somali police command has given brief details about the explosion that took place yesterday afternoon in Mogadishu, especially in the vicinity of Taleex intersection in Hodan district. The deputy commander of the Banadir regional police department, Ali Dhuux Mahad-Alle, who spoke to the media at the scene of the explosion, said that they foiled armed men driving a Bajaj motorcycle. The officer said that the number of men who were driving the motorcycle was not known and they were killed by the explosion.
He also said that they blew themselves up when they realized that the police could not escape. The commander also said that only the man driving the motorcycle survived the explosion, who is now in their hands, with minor injuries, according to Commander Ali Dhux. The commander said that the men who were burned in the motorcycle explosion were carrying four AK47 guns and many bombs, some of which blew themselves up and others detonated. The officer also told the media that there was no damage to the people who were nearby.
On the other hand, the DF media reported that the National Defense Force foiled a truck that was loaded with explosives that was trying to enter the National Defense Force camp in Kala-Beir area of Hiran region. 3 soldiers were killed in the explosion and three others were injured according to the government media.
