Villa Somalia spokesman Abdul-Qarin Ali Kaar has for the first time announced the killing of a group of Somali youths who were training in Eritrea.

The former Farmajo administration said one soldier was killed. Soldiers who escaped last year also confirmed the deaths of seven soldiers. The exact number is not yet known.

The actual number of young people trained in Eritrea is said to be 10,000 while Farmajo handed over a military file of 5,000 and it is not known why Farmajo hid the rest, The UN said last year that troops had been spotted in the town of Axum in Tigray region, and were taking part in the fight against the TPLF.

There is a lot of ambiguity in the case of these young people who were secretly removed from the country by Fahad Yassin in 2019 and 2020 and taken to Eritrea, a country with a dictatorial regime, isolated from the rest of the world.

However, the presidency said that some of the young people who were training in Eritrea had died. The fact is that the soldiers did not die during the training, but were killed in the Tigrean war.

Lying and misleading Somali parents and people as well as young Somalis who have been sent to foreign countries to defend and die is a national treason and will be prosecuted by  Farmajo and Fahad Yassin.
