AMISOM has completely shut down operations inside Mogadishu airport and Halane camp after discovering that it was facilitated by the attackers, and it is clear that Fahad Yasin & Farmajo were behind the attack.
AMISOM said in a statement that it was conducting security operations at the airport and Halane airport to ensure security in the area, which was attacked and killed last week by gunmen.
Companies, traders and foreigners living in Halane camp have been informed that there is no activity today, and only flights and landings are allowed inside the airport.
AMISOM said key personnel entering the airport would be subjected to a rigorous search and then released, adding that they would return to normal operations on April 2nd.
AMISOM's move comes amid reports that last week's al-Shabaab attack on the airport was facilitated.
