The Committee for the Election of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, is in the final stages of forming a formal leadership for both Houses of the Legislature, by April 27th, according to the Electoral Commission's election schedule.
The registration of candidates for the post of Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the House of the People of the Federal Parliament (JFS) is expected to be completed today, while the three-day registration of candidates for the post of Speaker of the Upper House was completed yesterday.
In the upper house, on Saturday and Sunday, the candidates will address the House of Representatives, a one-day break will be held on Monday, while the election of the Speaker and Deputy Speakers of the House of Elders will take place on Tuesday.
In the lower house, on Saturday and Sunday, the candidates will address the House of Representatives, a two-day break, Monday and Tuesday, and the election of the Speaker and Deputy Speakers of the lower house will take place on Wednesday.
Osman Obokor Dubbe has been nominated by Villa Somalia for the post of Speaker of the Upper House, and in 2020 he was appointed Minister of Information, at the suggestion of Farmajo.
He was known for serving Farmajo's interests and using it to attack the opposition and neighboring countries.
Incumbent Minister of Water and Power Hassan Abdinur, who has no political experience by the end of 2020, has been appointed Minister of Water and Power, following a proposal from South West President Abdiaziz Liftagareen, Villa somalia nominates Speaker of Parliament to disrupt parliamentary election.
