Somali security forces seize a car bomb in Gedo Governorate

On Sunday, Somali security forces seized a car filled with explosives in the town of Dolo in Gedo District, Jubbaland State, following a security operation on the outskirts of the town.

The commissioner of the border town of Dolo, Mohamed Hussein Abdi, said that the security forces received a report about the car bomb, which enabled them to seize the car that Al-Shabaab had prepared to blow up in Dolo.

The Commissioner commended the security forces for their diligence and vigilance in enhancing public security in the area where a large-scale operation against Al-Shabaab in Jubbaland State is expected to begin.
