Around 30 militants belonging to the Al-Shabaab group were killed in an operation that took place yesterday in an area of Mudug region, according to a statement issued by the Galmudug administration.

Al-Shabaab militants killed more than 50 members within 48 hours, and the government announced on Wednesday that 22 members of Al-Shabaab were killed in an operation in Hiran region. The operation was carried out by troops from the National Security and Intelligence Agency (NISA), as well as international friends of Somalia who supported the operation.
The militants were part of the operation that took place on the 21st of this month in the village of Adalay under the Mahaday district of the Middle Shabelle region.
