The Federal Electoral Commission (FEIT) has decided to re-run the by-elections for the four seats it previously rejected.

 The Federal Electoral Commission (FEC) has decided to re-run the four-seat by-elections, in order to rectify the irregularities, in line with the 2016 election process.


The FEIT committee, citing the reasons for preventing the approval of the results of HOP # 086 seat Fahad Yassin, looted from Beledweyne, said that the traditional elders of the constituency and one of the candidates, had lodged a complaint.


HOP # 154, held in Baidoa on 29 November 2021, did not go through the official process, and the commission said that one of the candidates running for the seat was under the age of 25, which invalidates the election process.


HOP # 103 The committee adjourned the election on November 27, 2021, following a complaint by former Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Sheikh Osman Jawari, who was barred from running again.


HOP # 204 The Commission adjourned the election on 13 March 2022, following a complaint by the Sultan and the Peacekeepers of the community, indicating that the electoral process had been violated.


The Federal Electoral Commission (FEC) has decided to re-run all these seats, in order to rectify the irregularities. According to the 2016 election process.


The commission said it would announce the date and venue for the by-elections.
