Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble, revoked the membership of the Federal Electoral Commission [FEIT], Mohamed Hassan Mohamed [Cirro], the former Chairman of the Commission and Abdirahman Abdiaziz Adam [Hirane], the former Secretary of the Commission.
Irro and Hiirane were among the members Fahad Yassin added to FEIT to pursue his own interests. They lost their positions as Speaker and Secretary, and eventually lost their membership due to working for Fahad and Farmajo in connection with the assassinations of MPs Amino and Ikraan.
Irro and Hiirane, acted in an unethical manner to obstruct the work of the commission, and attempted to obstruct the certification process at the commission's headquarters at the Aden Abdulle International Airport, Mogadishu. .
Roble also issued a final warning to Yusuf Abdikheyr, Abdinasir Mohamed, Abdijabbar Abdullahi, Ahmed Aden, and Sadiyo Hassan, most of whom joined the Commission from NISA, and called on them to refrain from acts of intimidation and corruption.
Prime Minister Roble replaced Irro and Hiirane with Irshad Mohamud Dahir and Hassan Ali Yusuf, while the Somali Police Force Commander ordered an immediate investigation into members expelled from the FEIT committee and those warned of disrupting the certification process.
Roble, commended the efforts of the FEIT Committee and its Chairman and the Secretary-General of the two Houses, while congratulating the Members of Parliament who have so far received their Certificate of Legislation, and urged the rest to take up their degree as soon as possible.
