The caretaker Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, HE Mohamed Hussein Roble, will hold a private meeting with the leaders of Jubbaland and Puntland this afternoon.
The sensitive meeting took place on the fence of Halane camp, and was chaired by the international community, according to credible sources.
Representatives of the international community also met privately with these parties, and eventually succeeded in getting the two sides to accept their confrontation.
Reports also say the meeting will focus on the crisis in the country, especially the dispute over Somalia's 2021 elections.
Ahmed Madobe and Said Deni, who have been in Mogadishu for some time, have objected to the government's approach to the elections, as talks between the two sides have stalled, following terms tabled by Jubbaland and Puntland.
However, the international community has already convened regional leaders to discuss the country's 2021 elections.
